"Offshore Arabia" Magazine

The new 'Offshore Arabia' magazine was launched during the 'Offshore Arabia 2004' Conference & Exhibition. It replaced the outdated Recso ‘Bulletin’ and reflects a much younger and energetic organization as part of Recso's new image. The magazine is a vehicle through which Recso may advertise, to both the public and private sectors of the region, its activities and show its commitment as a serious environmental organization. It also offers an opportunity to the Recso members to demonstrate their concern and commitment to the marine environment. The magazine also allows the public to see how well the oil & tanker companies of the region can work together as a team in protecting the fragile marine environment of the Gulf waters. 'Offshore Arabia' is definitely a Corporate Communications exercise and enhances the Recso Corporate Image and that of the oil & tanker companies. It also explains to people that the oil & tanker companies of the region are not responsible for the majority of the pollution that occurs in the Gulf. In most cases, not only are they not responsible but also often end up cleaning the pollution done by others at their own expense. Through this magazine we demonstrate that these companies are taking the initiative to be proactive and are amongst the first and few to take action in protecting the marine environment. The magazine also positively affects the organization's Brand Image and builds on its Brand Equity thereby adding value to the organization.

In September 2006, we changed our publishers due to a lack of innovation and brought in a new team that understands Recso's vision. The new publishers now have their own strategies and innovative ideas to expand both the readership and value of the magazine.

The magazine like the website is being changed to keep up with Recso's continuous progress and stride in building it's corporate image.
