CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

Offshore Arabia as an international conference and exhibition is going beyond the boundaries and creating the opportunities for challenging and enhancing the potentials of the future for the oil and gas industry, global market and the planet's environment. The energy sector at large has many challenges and with these challenges comes the opportunities, we aim to share the knowledge and build the momentum forward towards a secured global energy supply and at the same time drive environmental awareness and manage the challenges of climate change.

Energy and environment are essential for sustainable development, therefore we remain focused and committed to energy, environment, advanced technologies, renewables and sustainable development. We will continue to encourage growth as a basis for all human betterment. Incorporating within our mission, the UN Millennium Development goal which calls for the implementation of sustainable development and its three pillars– economic development, social development and environmental protection.

Held under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President & Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Offshore Arabia 2009, comes at a time when global cooperation is most needed to facilitate global dialogue in managing energy for sustainable growth and climate change. It has evolved over the years and provides an excellent overview of a cross section of the key issues in the energy industry and the environment. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) will be integrated and highlighted as part of the oil industry’s role in the society. We intend to bring forth the issues and the concerns with an aim to have highly knowledgeable and skilled professionals provide a wider range of solutions and share their thoughts.

In the visionary sessions we will have top leading business and industry experts highlight for us the potentials and share their views in what the future may or should be.
